Conventional Refrigerant Dehumidifers

Three types of Dehumidifers:
1. Conventional Refrigerant Dehumidifiers
2. Low Grain refrigerant Dehumidifiers (LGR)
3. Desiccant Dehumidifiers
Conventional refrigerant dehumidifiers are the model typically found in homes. They work on the principle of condensation, the same as an air conditioner or refrigerator. As warm air passes over cold coils, moisture condenses on the coil fins and forms droplets that are collected. It is important that conditions remain conducive to collection of the droplets before they can re-evaporate. They work best at conditions most desirable for drying, high temperatures and high humidity.
TIPS:
1. The coils should be cleaned periodically because dirty coils reduce efficiency.
2. They work best at high temperatures and high humidity.
