Commercial Building Apartment Smoke Damage

To remain in compliance with federal regulations, this apartment complex in Scranton is going non-smoking. Several of their units experienced severe nicotine damage from years of cigarette abuse which literally dis-colored the walls (see above).

SERVPRO of Carbondale/Clarks Summit/Old Forge was called by the property management company to clean the apartments which included the nicotine stained walls and ceilings to prepare to paint and re-rent.

Nicotine is a difficult substance to clean and our expertise was required. As part of this project we needed to seal the walls prior to painting to ensure that the nicotine would not "bleed" through. As you can see from the above picture the project was successful.
